To an arab audience up to two piercings an ear is acceptable. In fact in arab countries when baby girls are born the first thing that is done (other then praising Allah) is to pierce the newborns ears. It is however, never acceptable for a man to have his ears or even one ear pierced. They do not care for excessive piercing though, so if you have more than two holes per ear, you may want to take some earrings out when dancing especially since the more earrings you have in, the more opportunities to have something catch on them at an inoportune time.
Nose Piercings
Beware that an arab will find this very unpleasing. Many will cnsider it a desecration of the body (which belongs to Allah and Allah alone so it's not yours to pierce). I find this somewhat funny since they pierce the ears of infant girls all the time without giving them the choice whether or not they wanted pierced ears. However this is their view on it I have seen some arabs get quite upset over it. However if you perfom for a mainly american or other non-arab audience it should be just fine. In fact if your doing an indian influenced piece it can be a great ethnic touch.
Body Piercings
This is a big no-no in the arab world, it's even worse than a nose piercing. As long as you can hide or remove these piercings you should be ok though. Among some tribal dancers I have seen body piercings. Keep in mind that most tribal dancers are not dancing for arab audiences though, it's generally an american audience. If you absolutely have to have a body piercing I recomend the navel
