Please understand that I am not an expert on all operating sytems and browsers and can only offer help on installing Arabic Support for computers which use the same OS and Internet browser as I do. I simply don't know how to install Arabic script on other OS and browsers so please don't ask. Instructions here are for Windows XP and Internet Explorer. If you know how to do this with other OS or browsers please let me know and I'll add it here for others to benefit from.
Instructions for Windows XP users are as follows (Assuming you are not using the "Classic Start Menu" option).
1. Go to the start menu.
2. Go to the Control Panel.
3. Select Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options.
4. Choose either the Add other languages or Regional and Language options
5. If you are not already there, select the Languages tab.
6. Select the box that says Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai).
7. Choose the Advanced tab.
8. In the section titled Code Page Conversion Tables select all the boxes which say Arabic.
If you are using Internet Explorer then follow these directions to make sure your browser will support Arabic scripts.
1. In Internet Explorer select tools.
2. Go to Internet Options.
3. If you are not already there please select the General tab
4. Select the Laguages... button.
5. If you do not see arabic in the scroll down list select the add button.
6. If you do not find Arabic in the new scroll down box then you do not have arabic support installed on your computer. Otherwise select the Arabic script(s) that you wish to have recognized on your computer and click OK.
7. Continue clicking OK until the internet options windows are closed. You should now be able to view Arabic scripts.
